LITERATURE ON THE MONASTERY OF ZLATÁ KORUNA
At the end of 2007, a new collection of the former Cistercian monastery at Zlatá Koruna was published: Klášter Zlatá Koruna, Dějiny. Památky. Lidé/The Monastery of Zlatá Koruna, its History, Sights and People. Thirty-five authors focused on grasping the as yet hidden bends of the history of this monastery set to the picturesque meanders of the Vltava River near Český Krumlov by Přemysl Otakar II. In an effort to become acquainted with it better, they employ various fields of science, leading from the cultivation of the countryside to the individual monuments, i.e. buildings and works of arts made and used in the course of seven and a half centuries of the monastery’s existence, as well as the particular personalities linked to the monastery and their everyday life and spiritual world.
